in defense of Teddy, we all called the USSR "the russians" back in the day. Teddy is an old dude and probably still thinks that way. I mean, ****, even I cant name all of the countries that used to be part of the USSR. Its not like we were taught what former countries made up the USSR anymore than americans are taught what former countries or provinces make up China.

the USSR was a country though. I dont expect anyone to understand. I'm probably 10 years older than most of you and history lessons in the 80's didnt go into which former countries made up the Soviet Union.
