Fuck PPV buys. Who cares? But it was more impressive for Pac to outwork Clottey every round than Floyd tip toeing through 12 rounds against a LW in a WW fight.

LOL @ all these ****** threads. It could be "What is more impressive, Floyd eating Mcdonalds, or Manny eating Burger King", and Pac wins in a landslide. A lot of people wouldn't vote for Mayweather even if deep down, they felt like they should.

Both are impressive in different ways.

Mayweather and Pacquiao is what this thread boils down to.

Here are the questions you have to ask yourself.

Could Mayweather have done 51 thousand with Clottey? Could Pacquiao sell over a million PPVs with Mosley?

I think Mayweather could have. I also think Manny could do the same as Mayweather can. Where this fails to be a legitamite measuring stick is that no matter how popular Manny gets, most of his fans do NOT reside in this country.

If his fans lived in a richer country, or in this country for that matter, this would be a fair line of questions. However, that is not the case.

Mayweather fans can take pride in the fact that Floyd will probably always have that advantage.

Pacquiao fans can take pride in the fact that Mayweather has a legitamite threat in terms of 'biggest star in the sport' and it's from a foreign fighter (by American terms). And as much of a head start as Mayweather has gotten in numerous ways, he's barely ahead.

It's close. So close that it barely matters to me.. Oh, wait. Now it doesn't matter to me.
