What I think Vitali meant by calling out Brewster

Vitali will be able to fight as soon as September. While Rahman will be fighting in July 23, basically at the end of the month. If Rahman or Barret won they still wouldnt be able to make the deadline of September 18, because for them it would probably be to soon to fight after there last showdown. I think what Vitali wants to do is unify with Brewster first, and take on Rahman sometime in December. That way he would be able to squeeze in two good fights, that the fans would love. Not to mention if Rahman would be to win in December he would have 2 belts at the price of one.

but vitali losses his title if he doesnt fight the winner of rahman-barret. he would be just handing money to rahman if he did that, by handing the wbc over to rahman it gives rahman a huge bargaining chip in the negotiations. what vitali is doing is just ****** and he runs a huge risk by fighting brewster who could seriously test his chin. it might just end up brewster fighting rahman trying to unify....which isnt good for VK

First off, I think they can definately arrange a fight with the winner of Rahman Barret no sooner than October and no later then December, until that time maybe under special circumstances Vitali could vs Brewster to unify. As for Brewster testing Vitali's chin, Lewis and Sanders already tried and failed.

The Brewster fight has so much appeal for Vitali, sure LAmon has a belt but he also ko'd his brother and that is the type of motivation that really drives Dr. Ironfist...

I could care less who he fights next, Rock or LAmon...tell Rock to chill out and take care of Barrett it is not like he is an overwhelming favorite! I think Rock is just pissed because he can never string together good quality victores, consitency is not his strength and to beat Vitaly means he has to be consistent and beat Barret first.

Lamon vs. Vitaly...cmnon Wlad one of these days your big brother is going to have to stop fighting your battles for you.

if rahman beats barret easy then the sept date wil be jsut fine, but if they both get into a scrap then rahman might want time to recover, vitali has to fight rahman if rahmna can fight, but if he cant vit can fight someone else or take that time off til rahmans ready

            The interview from another source,

Vitali says he'll fight Brewster in September

After wiping out Andrew Golota in 58 seconds last Saturday Lamon Brewster became more than just another title holder, he became the most legitimate challenger to Vitali Klitschko's acknowledged supremacy of the heavyweight division.

WBA and IBF champions John Ruiz and Chris Byrd needed gift decisions to get by Golota last year but 'Relentless Lamon' blasted the Foul Pole apart in under a minute. It was a huge statement by the inconstant WBO champ Brewster and it appears WBC champ Klitschko heard it.

"I have heard and read where Brewster has challenged me, and there is no problem," said Klitschko. "Let's get it on. It should make for a very interesting and good fight. He looked good against Golota and I would love to fight him. He fought against my brother (Wladimir), so there is added incentive for me. If he is as interested as he said he is, have his promoter call my manager. I am ready for a September fight."

Brewster outlasted Wladimir Klitschko to win the vacant WBO belt 14 months ago and the Klitschko brothers traditional try to avenge each other's defeat. Klitschko v Brewster, mark II, is probably the most legitimate fight in the division right now but there are a couple of roadblocks to overcome.

First, Klitschko senior is currently sitting out with a back injury and, beyond that, is obligated to fight the winner of July's fight between WBC NO.1 Hasim Rahman and Monte Barrett.

Sounds to me that Vitali is just stating that he's willing to face Brewster if that's what the WBC/WBO wants.
I believe he will face the winner of Rahman/Barrett if desired by the WBC.

it wouldnt be a unifying fight if VK fought brewster, as rahman or barret would be the interim wbc champion. a vk-brewster fight would only be for the wbo

Even if Rahman or Barrett can't fight in September against Vitali which is a very strong possibility and they need to delay the fight another month or two and then Vitali decides to fight Brewster in their place on September the WBC will still strip Vitali. It won't be fair to Vitali because he has a date set for September and neither one of the two would be able to face him. Vitali may want to fight in September just to get back in the game but the WBC are *******s and they will try and block him.

I think Brewster has a good shot at beating VK...if he comes prepared.
