Not trying to start a shouting match here, I truly want to understand the rationale behind banning using the frozen embryos for stem cell research.
Now, I know people adopting those embryos would be great and all but, that only happens to a small percentage of the embryos that are frozen. Also, in many instances, the woman trying to get pregnant from a frozen embryo must go through 5 or 6 of them before one actually survive.
Of the frozen embryos out there only about 10% will actually survive when implanted in a woman's womb.
Also, EVERY frozen embryo UNLESS adopted will be discarded by the hospital after a certain amount of time anyways.
So given these facts, why not use these embryos? If somebody wants to adopt one, great! Let them have it. But if the hospital is about to toss an embryo in the trash ANYWAYS, why not give it to stem cell research instead?
