We know the promoters do not care about fighter safety......at the very best they are indifferent.....at the worst they could care less. The boxing commissions have shown very little interest in change (except NYSAC), the sanctioning bodies have been quiet on the issue........who does that leave........????


It leaves the fighters..........and really it only leaves the fighters with enough pull to request it in contracts without being shunned by their own promoter. Floyd's actions have been successful no matter the motivations.....and there are several reasons for that.....


- Boxing's current standards have been exposed as inadequate.

- It has created broad ranging discussion of the issue in boxing and from fans.

- We have PED testing by UDSADA fro SSM vs Floyd.

- NYSAC is in the process of reviewing it's policies.


The last point is the real one. Floyd's actions are forcing change against the established norm for the better.

Better testing procedures is paramount for fighter safety. This cannot be disputed by anyone. So why support a commission whose current rules do not consider fighter safety??? Pac fans support the NSAC stance even though it is inadequate and puts fighters at risk. This is tantamount to condoning PED use and condoning increased trisks to fighters.

Sorry man, this is just BS. I'm all for testing, as are most Pacquiao fans. What I don't like is one person being singled out and the excuse of "cleaning up the sport" being used to blatantly **** up a guy's career who happens to be doing better than Mayweather. It's wrong! Simple as that!

Testing = fine. But let the commissions handle it.

The way Mayweather is using underhand tactics and making baseless accusations = that's ****ed up.

I just cannot approve of one man trying to bring another man down in order to boost his own flailing career, which happens to be looking more and more lackluster with every passing Pacquiao fight. Man this is so simple. Floyd hates being second best. It's really ****ing obvious to see that he can't deal with it! Props on trying to "clean up the sport", but get ****ing real, Floyd.

Thanks, its ridiculous how biased people can be towards something that can further help the sport of boxing.

Pac fans have already said that OST is no problem, as long its done in ALL of boxing fights, means ALL boxers should do it... If Floys is REALLY serious about this, he SHOULD be going to commissions and not just 1 fighter. Its just a fraud alibi to duck-out.

I can simply say if Pac was serious he would go to the commission and allow them to set the weight penalty for the fight instead of imposing a 10 million per pound over the weight limit himself. What you fail to recognize is that what Floyd and Pac requested are both "Stipulations" a commission is not needed or required to have these stipulations enforced in contracts.
