How did Juan Urango become a 2x world champion?

Dude gets outclassed by Ricky Hatton, Andre Berto and now by Alexander.

The only guy ive heard of on his resume was a washed up Randall Bailey who managed to knock down Urango twice.
Who else.....ermmm, Ben Rabah, Ngoudjo??? lol

This guy should of never became a "world champion" in the first place, yet alone twice.
Just shows how belts have been watered down so much they mean **** all.

I wouldn't say he got outclassed by Ricky Hatton. There were spots in that fight where he did well. He fought Berto at 147. Alexander demonstrated that he wasn't a world class fighter and that he should probably be consdered a gatekeeper for prospects at 140. The only problem is his right hook can change a fight drastically when he lands it.

No way Urango was outclassed by Alexander. In fact he was coming on in the fight to me.

TS, I don't think there are 10 140lbers in the world even after this loss who would be favored to beat Urango.

The guy may have a crude method but he has done ok with it.

you named 3 guys he lost to. 1 is one of the best jr welters of this decade 2 is a welterweight who hit and held and 3 urango was comming on in the fight until he got reckless and caught by a perfect shot. and all 3 guys are champions. and all were undefeated when he lost to them. so what makes urango so bad?

For the record I'm not high on him either, but he's better than he used to be. Evangelista made him better, not sure if he's still with him though.
