he had a great lightweight career. i personally think he has a weak resume since leaving though, JMM and hatton are two of the biggest names and they both moved up in weight to fight him, neither had proved to be a really good WW, especially marquez.

and he fought him at 140 not 147. hatton's whole style was to smother his opponent and use his size, floyd was bigger, not to mention much better. he may have been knocked out before fighting manny but i think pac's win over ricky is more impressive than floyd's. plus it was manny's first fight at 140. floyd had his fantasy fight with oscar after that he fought the 140 king, who was coming off an impressive victory over malignaggi, manny ko's him in 2, then his first WW fight against a welter, albeit at a 145 catchweight, was the #2 WW in the world ( and he had beaten shane who was #1), manny stops him. then in his next fight he fights the #4 WW and dominates him from start to finish. people need to not hate, what manny has done in the last couple years is very impressive, even if you think he has cherry picked or what not. and the whole cherry picking thing is pretty ****** considering cotto was #2 and a p4p top 10 and clottey was the highest ranking WW available to fight at the time.
