It has to be the plan, because beside that, I don't think Arthur can execute a gameplan. The guy always fight the same way. He is very prdictable, yet efficient.

If Dirrell can avoid the power and let his hands go a bit more, he can win this fight, no doubt.

You're right on point, I've been saying it for a while.

All of these shell defense fighters (Winky, Clottey, AA), get beat easily by speed, activity, and stamina. Dirrell has to give up some of the speed on his punches to throw more. If he had a better output, I'd be 100% sure he wins, but since he doesn't it's a little closer.

Yes, the idea is to keep them in their shell, just like Williams and Pacman were able to do against Wright and Clottey. With that said, AA still is a bit different. He sometimes sits back, take punches, then comes out like crazy, throwing power punches to take your head off in sudden bursts. That's when he's most dangerous. In and out combination action is the key for Dirrell.

Abraham is deceptive. When he shells up, some people think he's starting to get hurt, but he's actually sitting back and studying the pattern of his opponents. By the late rounds he's figured them out, and starts feinting and connecting on them at a much higher rate.

true, but Dirrell is not as mentally strong as Abraham. thats the key to the winner in this one. Dirrell is an excellent boxer, but i just don't think he's close to meeting his potential yet. i'd give him a couple of years before he becomes a world champion, but right now it's Abraham's time.

ok AA's plan for any fight.

                  rounds 1-4 shell up
rounds 4-8 work enough to win rounds
rounds 8-12 **** he is still around???? time to lay him out

I have only seen Dirrell fight Frotch, and three Abraham fights. I think Abraham will win though. Even though I think Abraham can be outpointed by a slick guy. I think Abraham gives away to many rounds. Had Taylor up on points going into the 12th. Plus even though Abraham was not punching much he looked tired.
