I agree. An SD, MD or close UD is not enough to un-seed Pac. But a convincing win for FMJ would make a strong agreement for P4P supremacy.

Also people need to remember Pacquiao is only well known because "Money" Mayweather retired. Had Floyd stuck around and fought the rematch with Oscar De La Hoya then nobody would be hearing about Pacquiao right now

No hearsay or what ifs... People do remember that he retired and he turned down a rematch with ODH, and that Pac has fought and won 6 times since FMJ retirement and subsequent comeback. The point being, FMJ chose to walk away from boxing, no one forced him. He has to live with the consequences, losing the WW linear and P4P rankings. On the flip side, Pac has to live with the consequences and rewards of his actions; moving up in weight and winning in convincing or compelling matches.

There are no free lunches/passes. Just like everyone else FMJ has to fight his way back, and maybe reclaim both linear and P4P nods in the process. The JMM fight was a farce. May 1st with SMM is the real deal. He should full credit if he wins.

Pacquiao would've never moved up to welterweight and possibly never even to light welterweight in 2008-2009, if it wasn't for the DLH fight. He would've most likely stayed at lightweight.
