If he pulls a Naz and quits just because he lost ONE fight history will not look favorably on him but if he continues, fights the best, and gives it his all everyone time out, then that is all most fans really care about and not some paper record.

Most fans don't have retired fighter's records memorized but they do remember the fights they were in and what impression they made on them.

Having a 0 on your record makes no better or any different in my eyes. Anyone who believes having a 0 on your record makes any difference is quite simply deluded, and i know some feel having a 0 automactically means your a whole different beast because you have never lost well if you look closely with those who kept their precious 0 you will find they won a few controversial wins or simply didn't fight the best at that time (check the resume). I will respect Floyd for fighting Mosley/Pac they are both dangerous opponents if loses in a war then id probably rank him higher if anything because these guys are no ordinary boxers, these infact are very skilled fighters and represent boxing at the highest level which means fighing a grade A level criteria. You will find the greatest boxers of all time have maybe 5 or so loses or more. It's who you fight and the competition you have fought which determines your greatness not for being rememberd as 'unbeaten' as some may suggest.
