Seriously...I'm sure Valero would be in tip top shape at 140, but come on! No fighter with less than 30 fights on their resume, with absolutely none of them being against anything near top tier opponents is beating Pacquiao...For everything Valero can do, Pacquiao does it harder and more efficiently. Just imagine them slugging it out...Its almost like Floyd Mayweather moving up to 160 and fighting Andre Dirrell...Very similar styles, but Dirrell can do everything Floyd would do but with almost every advantage in the book by a longshot.
And for the record, Valero punches nowhere near as hard as Pac. The guy couldn't KO/drop DeMarco. Yes he retired on his stool, but he wasn't in any danger. It was like the Alexander-Witter stoppage. Pacquiao has stopped guys whom I'd pick to beat Valero easily.
Does anyone remember what we got last time we had a young prospect with less than 30 wins on his resume, said to be a fighter with the potential to beat Mayweather and all victories by KO? Andre Berto. Now what do we have? A guy who went life and death with Collazo and fought very sluggishly against two JWWs whom he failed to KO. If Quintana is the same fighter he was before he moved up, I can see him dominating Berto.
