    Kubrat Pulev: up-and-coming heavyweight

Kubrat Pulev has been facing the kind of opposition in some of his first seven pro fights as most boxers face in their 15th to 20th fights.

Here he is last weekend against Danny Batchelder:

On Jan 30th against Matt Skelton:

And in December against Gbenga Oloukun:

    Here's his girlfriend:

Andrea is Bulgaria's most popular singer and Pulev was their top amateur boxer, so they're a high-profile couple:

                That was a nice punch.

He's fighting next on the same card as Kessler-Froch in Denmark on Apr 24. No opponent has been announced yet.

European Refs are such a goddamn joke.

Nice punch but Batchelder was up by 8, he wasn't wobbling and he verbally responded to the ref. Typical bull**** stoppage.

Most European (including British) refs take no chances of anybody being seriously injured.

But I think that's probably better than the refs in the US, Mexico, and Japan who have let boxers continue taking a beating until they suffer fatal injuries.
