and for a title AFTER you agreed to a catchweight? kind of unheard of to have a champ agree to a catchweight fight THEN be forced to defend his belt on top of it

I won't argue with you guys if you don't think 2 lbs doesn't make a difference in boxing. This just shows your lack of boxing knowledge and discredits everything you say. If it wasn't such a big deal then why would Manny's camp push for it? As far as Cotto saying it was not a problem, what do you expect him to say? "The weight is going to affect me, and I'm going to be drained so just don't even bother watching the fight"? Give me a break.

The point of the catch weight was not to gain a physical advantage, but a mental one. Don't come accusing others of lacking knowledge, it's very clear you're the one who doesn't know wtf you are talking about.
