I like how he spends a few rounds figuring you out or even tricking you to thinking you might have a chance so you can open up.. and he finds out all your flaws and capitalizes on them along the way, while giving nothing away.

And a lot of times, (like with clottey for example) I see a fighter have completely open shots on the other guy, but he doesn't take it, or he misses the opportunity. Floyd never misses any opportunity and takes advantage of every second.

Also just his athletic ability astounds me as well as his reflexes and positioning.

All skill and technical ability aside, I became a fan of Mayweather for the same reason I'm a fan of DLH & JMM. I believe all these fighter have the special ability to adjust and come up with a new gameplan when they see what they are doing isn't working.

He's very good in building hype around his fights, in making people interested to talk about him and the fight, which translates into more people tuning in to see him despite the fact that he's rightly labeled as boring in the ring.

His safety first style can be somewhat irritating since most people want to see fighters beat each other in an action-packed bloody mess, but I can understand why does it. If he can get the win with the least amount of damage, why not? It's his health and well being on the line. That kind of style also doesn't endear him to the masses, so to keep things interesting, he makes it up by running his mouth.

His defensive skills, ring intellect, accuracy, counter punching and timing is in a class of its own. I guess I could say he has much more finesse than any other boxer.

Plus he's good for the sport, if only for the fact that people have a megafight to look forward to (Pac-Floyd, Mosley-Floyd). I mean, who doesn't want to see a prick get beat up and taught a lesson?

Also i like how he uses his Defense to wear his opponent down. A lot of people would like to think that he just like to wait for his opponent to tire, but it's his defense that makes his opponent work so hard in the first place. Mayweather doesn't wait for you to run out of gas, he makes you run out of gas.

I admire how he adapts to his opponents style and systematically takes them apart.. Also great ring generalship and defense.. I hate his ****y attitude and how he disrespects his opponents, but I appreciate his boxing skills

I'm not a fan of his, but i appreciate his pinpoint accuracy, his almost unpenetrable defense and his ringsmarts are topnotch. Very slick!
