Ah man I think Saul could make it competitive with Berto... If not win... Both are great fighters indeed, and Saul actually has more pro fights, and boxed more rounds, more pro experience.. I think he could be ready for a fight like that

He's 19 and makes good money in Mexico right now, a fight with Berto is too risky right now in his development. He has a good team behind him, I don't see him fighting anyone in the top 10 for at least another year.

You know what happened, they have been exposed and won't take a fight where they will be drug tested and humiliated skill wise.

Manny is a fraud and Clottey got an extra pay day on the side we have not heard about.
Even Clottey doesn't look as bad as he did the other night.

Oh man... you pose a good point... why else would Jerry Jones pay Clottey all that extra money, other than that he took a dive for Pacquiao... He knew the poor fighter could not refuse all of that dough!

My god some of you are so full of s**t it is unreal.

So, for an extra million, Clottey "takes a dive" and doesn't fight properly? Even though winning would have catapulted him to stardom and a string of mega fights that would have earned him 10s of millions?

                Come on...

Same here, two undefeated young guys who both really have yet to be honestly and actually tested..

I can see your point, and I wouldnt mind him taking a few more fights before he takes a crack at the top 10, but I think if this guy fought and beat Berto, it could lead him to much bigger things, and he could be a 21 year old champion, and that would be VERY big for boxing, regardless of in America or Mexico, we could use another young phenom in todays ring, imagine, he already has 32 fights under his belt.... he's 19... If he boxes til 40+ like alot of guys do he could fight over 100 professional fights!

Did it ever occur to you that he might have been just joking?

I would like to see Canelo fight Alfonzo Gomez after beating Hatton, after that depending how he looks I wouldn't mind him fighting Berto or even Clottey. It's going to be interesting seeing how his career develops but I do agree out of all the prospects out there he seems to have the best potential of becoming a super star.
