I agree, there are three major versions of mega-fights right now with different commentators :

HBO: with lamprey, stewart etc...

Top Rank: with mario lopez (host of America`s top dance crew), etc...

Sky Sports: ...

Great stuff from Lamps, I think it was more out of disgust for Clottey's unwillingness to put it all out there and Jim was picturing himself as the Pacman in there with Clottey.

what was up with all the long silent pauses in the commentary
then i could hear them eating chips or something and drinking too
it was very weird
that fight needed larry merchant badly!

Actually, I think Lampley kept excusing himself to go to the "bathroom". I know atleast one time Max and Stewart said "Welcome back Jim." Jim said he had to go take a look around. I was picturing him in the bathroom stall drinking from his flask.
