    Klitschko/Chambers press conference

IBF/WBO/IBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko faces off with challenger Eddie Chambers during a prefight press conference in advance of their showdown Saturday in Dusseldorf, Germany. “I want to shock the world,” Chambers told the press. Klitschko, who has previously sparred with Chambers stated, “I’ve already tested him and I think the world title will remain in the Klitschko family.” The fight will take place at the 51,000-seat Esprit Arena and be televised in 110 countries worldwide. HBO, which has Klitschko under contract, sadly had no interest in televising the champion’s heavyweight title defense in the USA even though Chambers hails from Philadelphia.

“A new page in the history of boxing will be written on that night, and I am glad to be part of it. How dangerous is Eddie Chambers? I am fully aware that this little man is extremely dangerous,” the Ukrainian champ told Sportbox.ru.

Klitschko is 13 centimeters taller than his rival, but Chambers is six years younger and a lot faster than his opponent.

“[Chambers] didn’t enter the elite of heavyweight boxing by accident, so my trainer Emmanuel Steward and I will immediately head to the gym to continue preparations for Saturday's meeting. I have huge respect for Chambers. We will see the things he said and what he promises to do in the ring on Saturday,” the 33-year-old added.

Eddie Chambers secured his “mandatory challenger” status after beating Klitschko’s fellow countryman Aleksandr Dimitrenko in July 2009.

The 27-year-old US boxer has lost only once in 36 fights, going down to Russian Aleksandr Povetkin in January 2008.

Meanwhile, Klitschko will appear in the ring after a significant break caused by injury. His last bout, in which he knocked out Ruslan Chagaev of Uzbekistan, took place in June last year.

“I am ready to defend my titles and leave all three belts in the Klitschko family. We still need one, but we'll discuss this later,” Klitschko said.

Wladimir’s younger brother Vitaly Klitschko holds the WBC title.

The only belt the duo lacks is the WBA crown of David Haye, but they are having serious problems in negotiating the fight.

Eddie should be fighting at Cruiserweight...he looks tiny next to Wlad.

Eddie does have pop in his punches, he does enough power to at least hurt opponents. He hurt Sam Peter who's a very big guy with a big neck so Eddie is fine at HW.

Boxers who should have been cruiserweights are guy's like Chris Byrd and Michael Moorer.
