If Clottey had somehow managed to beat Pacquiao the other night, he'd legitimately be The Man, yeah, far as I'm concerned. See, Shane is obviously the WBA welterweight champ and he beat Margarito who beat Cotto, so technically he's as close to a linear champ as there is. But, you know, Cotto beat Shane so... it's just a matter of who you believe the best fighter to be. Lately Manny has been the best fighter. In the space of time Mosley has been inactive Manny's beat up Cotto (who beat Shane) and Clottey (who fought a very even fight with Cotto), he also took a detour to 140 and beat the 'linear' champion there.... Mayweather's beat a blown up ltweight so has no claim to anything.... Shane's been on some kind of sabbatical.

I think so, only because right now #2 floyd and #3 mosley both are at the same weight as floyd, plus if mosley wins he has beaten 1 top WW in the past year, same goes with floyd, Pac had demolished 2 top WW's in the last year. And if a fight between the winner and manny doesn't happen withing 6-12 months after their fight then it should go to whoever is fighting the tougher competition and how they are winning the fights.

Yeah that makes sense ?? There is just as many floyd threads, I don't the ring mag gives a fucck about threads on boxingscene, plus floyd has a better relationship with Golden Boy, which owns the ring magazine and so does mosley who i believe is currently #3.
