Floyd doesn't have a crowd-pleasing style, the big selling point is that he is undefeated and he's huge trashtalker. Therefore, people want to see a trashtalker put into his place. It doesn't matter if Mayweather goes on an impressive winning streak after he loses (should he lose). At the end of the day, his draw will go down because people will always point back to his first loss and be content with that.
I have thought this as well, once the mystique and 0 are gone, so is Floyd.

Admittedly, I watch Floyd's fight to see if he can be beat. With that said, I truly disagree with the notion that once he loses, he totally loses his appeal as a fighter with the PPV audience.

I think he could swing the angle that it's an awakening he's been looking for and is even more focused to make things happen now that he lost. I could easily see people tuning in to see him come back even more hungry to prove himself.

If he lost again,however...well...maybe the "hang it up" talk would commence.

And when he beats Mosley, you will say Shane is an old fart. Nothing new with you. But you somehow credit him for beating JMM....

And Shane is a live opponent by the way. I like both, him and Mayweather.
Nobody is dis*****g the fact that Floyd convincingly beat Castillo in the rematch. It still doesnt change the fact that the majority of the boxing world feels he lost the first fight.

Pac lost the first fight to Erik Morales, then came back to beat him 2x. Does that mean he didnt lose the first fight?

agree, very good lightweight but past that he would in my opinion be a fraud, though i don't think he would have taken the fight if there is any chance of losing.

i'd honestly say that he overestimated his own abilities...to go from retirement, to cherrypicking then taking on a legit threat, it all caught up to him...then i'd go back to laughing

i hope shane puts him on his ass...i would pay good points for that gif

I wouldn't give a fuck. I lost a ton of respect for PBF when he fought JMM. He's redeeming his reputation by facing Shane. He doesn't have to win, he just has to fight him. I'll respect him regardless of a win or loss. Nothing to be ashamed of. Shane is still dangerous, no matter what some on here say.

I give Mosley a great, great shot here. At 147? I wouldn't be surprised at all. Who can beat Shane at this weight?

He fought one of the best lightweights ever, castillo and after a very tough fight, fought him again!

He then fought knockout artist, deigo coralles. Everyone said coralles would beat him, floyd knocked him down 5 times.

He fought an unbeaten ricky hatton, an oscar de la hoya at 154, jesus chavez, arturo gatti, JMM and zab judah.

Yes and then floyd came back and whooped his ass.

                      Dont cry Lol.

Everyone knows Castillo was not an elite fighter, he would of got taken apart by a LW Shane Mosley, JCC and gotten his ears Boxed off by Whitaker, Castillo was a B class fighter, B + at best, btw he got a lucky decision over Casamayor.

People also said Lacy would beat Calzaghe, does that make him better than he is because of peoples misplaced perception at the time? Lol

Thats right he fought a small guy (Hatton), a 34 year old ODLH and only got a SD, Gatti ? do me a favour, Gatti also lost to Manfredy and Micky Ward, JMM a smaller old fat guy?

That was a very weak try by yourself.
