I think you'd be a fool to think it's impossible for Mosley to beat Mayweather. Even at 39 years old, Mosley is much, much better competition than what Floyd has seen for quite a long time. If you put Mosley up against Mayweather's last 5 fights, he beats all of them (and has beaten Oscar twice both at 147 and 154 in Oscar's prime).

Can Floyd beat Mosley? Absolutely. Can Mosley beat Floyd? Absolutely.

He loses to Mosley he needs to retire. No excuse for a guy like Floyd to lose a to a guy like Mosley.

        What would you think?
I would say that he lost to a great fighter and I would probably praise Mosley's performance.

I think it would mean Mayweather was not as good as most thought, and Mosley is far better than most thought. Mayweather, justified or not, would suffer a pretty big legacy hit if he loses this fight in any way other than a controversial close decision.

I've always said that about him. Mayweather knows that in the back of his mind, and I believe that's why he is so cautious in his matchmaking. Floyd doesn't have a crowd-pleasing style, the big selling point is that he is undefeated and he's huge trashtalker. Therefore, people want to see a trashtalker put into his place. It doesn't matter if Mayweather goes on an impressive winning streak after he loses (should he lose). At the end of the day, his draw will go down because people will always point back to his first loss and be content with that.

ima make an "official I told you so" thread featuring the hundreds of threads saying he will put it on Shane.

To be honest, I've never seriously entertained this thought.

I'd say he was just what i though he was. A very talented fighter with skills but had the best matchmaking in history to make him look unbeatable. He is a top notch guy who can lose against other top notch guys just like any other boxer can.
