No doubt about his willingness to fight the best. DLHs fights with Quartey,Trinidad,Mosleyx2, Vargas, Hopkins, Mayweather and Pacquiao are at least equally as impressive though.

so now ur talking about pacs early run? dont lie to urself, we all know pacs a great fighter but im tired of peoples biased opinions towards him. both leonard and lennox rematched theirs opponents and won! and imo JJM beat pac in both fights.

those fights with the three HOF mexicans (3Ms) alone is enough for him to get recognized by boxing purist.. he was not hated during those days.. then suddenly, mayweather is on the radar and he was hated by the stans..

Even if he lost, we should still applaud his willingness to fight the best. Thats becoming rare in todays boxing.

See the thread Title. I assumed everybody would get what im talking about.

                  Leonard didnt rematch Hagler
Lennox Didnt secure a fight with Bowe and i agree Bowe ducked Lennox

In your opinion JMM beat Pac twice, That's fine with me also.

My original question is. Do you know a a recent fighter maybe from the last 40 yrs that has done something similar?

I would think that the TOP 3 fighters of his time were Mosley, Trinidad and Quartey He was primed then.

He lost to Mosley twice ( 1 and 1 of you like to argue about it )
He lost to Trinidad (Can be argued also) but DIDnt Rematch him
He narrowly beat Quartey (Again can be disputed) and didnt Rematch him.

It pales in Comparison really. I hope you can see that.
