Itv look set to screen Amir Khan's US debut against Paulie Malignaggi at New York's Madison Square Garden on May 15.

They are favourites to agree a deal with Khan for his WBA light-welterweight title defence after talks with Sky broke down.

Itv feel the fight could be a ratings hit, even though it may not start until 1am UK time.

Heard this rumour yesterday, it would be great fot this fight to be on ITV, i think its something to do with khan leaving warren, warren has a deal with sky/box office, GBP may not mind it being on normal TV in UK
