    I Don't Get It.....

why do people say, "it's more beneficial to the sport," if mosley beats floyd?

keep it real, and say it's more beneficial to mosley fans and pacquiao fans.

mayweather-pacquiao is the fight EVERYONE wants to see, including the casuals, and those that don't follow the sport.....meaning no other boxing match would generate as much interest.

fact is, i've heard noone, but the dummies on this site, calling for mosley-pacquiao instead of mayweather-pacquiao, so how is that "more beneficial" to the sport of boxing?

It's beneficial for those who want to see an action packed fight.

You really believe that Floyd's trading with Pac?

Because Mayweather-Pacquiao has little chance of happening with all the egos. Not to mention a Pacquiao-Mosley fight would be goddam exciting I mean 2 fast powerpunchers who will hit back when hit.

Floyd is a cancer to the sport and must be purged asap.

If Shane does it, he will be a hero.

Without Floyd boxing will become reinvigorated with other more deserving fighters being showcased and fights will be made with a lot less hassle.

Floyd is the turd in the punchbowl.

And HBO is his enabler. They need a shakeup too.

floyd's not gonna stand in the middle of the ring with his hands covering his face the whole fight. he's not gonna "trade" with manny, b/c that's not his style... but he'll counter him often and enough to win rounds.

only a fool would say mayweather-pacquiao won't be entertaining.

and casual fans, by the way, like "big names."

pacquiao-clottey wasn't very entertaining, and according to some of you, mayweather isn't entertaining at all.....yet ppl still pay when they get in the ring....

if "action" was all casual fans cared for, fighters like paul williams and shane mosley would be the megastars of the sport, and wouldn't find it so hard to land the big fights they crave for.

i personally dont think a pac/mayweather fight would be that entertaining.
for starters, mayweather's involved. 2nd, speed and skill vs speed and skill usually leads a lot of feinting, posing and posturing with not much happening in terms of actual punches landed.
lastly, a pac/mosley fight would undoubtedly be more entertaining than pac/ mayweather.

mosley-pac is more beneficial in the way of bringing in new fans to the sport. mayweather-pac is beneficial for the fans that know boxing and know who these guys really are.
