On top of what the TS has stated, how would Mayweather also know that they wouldn't agree to the compromise of a 14 day window? I mean, Freddie even said they would agree to a 5 day window or something like that, so surely Floyd couldn't have predicted they would then decline 14 days?

Floyd didn't duck Pac and that is pretty obvious when you look at the history of the actual negotiations.
