Diarea does mess you up big time and then to fight someone like pac. I dont think its an excuse because clottey is an honorable guy. Even at 100 percent he still would have loss but not every round so meekly.

What I question is his fat obese cook who probably never ate a meal he didnt like. I also question his knowledge of nutrition and vitamins plus diet. If you have diarea then you can take chacoal capsules to stop it plus oil of oregano, oil of cinnamon to help his stomach. There was no reason to let clottey get so dehydrated.

The Ghanaian boxer shortly after his defeat apologized to Ghanaians for failing to dethrone the undisputed welter weight champion but appears to have diagnosed the reason for his defeat.

Speaking to Joy News, the 32 year old Ghanaian boxer said he was not in the right frame of mind after suffering multiple stomach upsets and diarrhea prior to the bout.

He suspected an ingredient used in preparing local Ghanaian dish- Banku and Okro stew he ordered to be prepared for him to eat as possible cause for the diarrhea.

“When I ate after the weighing I was ‘running’; the midnight I went to toilet almost like four times; in the morning I went to toilet almost like three times; when we went to the dressing room I went to toilet like three times,” he explained.

He said the heavy dose of diarrhea weakened him ahead of the bout and that partly contributed to his defeat.

He has promised to make a swift comeback to glory.

I like Clottey, but that was a ****ty performance an even ****tier excuse. The excuse didn't work for Duran either.

I thought Steward was right when he said Clottey was landing the cleaner punches. But Pacquiao would land about 10 partially blocked shots to Clottey's one clean shot. Clottey fought just to survive and not take any damage. Pac's face actually looked more damaged than Clottey's and you can tell that Pac felt his power. So there was an obvious size and strength advantage for Clottey, he just didn't show the fighting spirit that other Pac opponents had. The fight could have been more competitive, but Clottey just can't handle volume/pressure fighters.
