That's hilarious. With all the pressure, Floyd and Manny were first forced to take tough opponents when the negotiations failed. It took an act of god and widespread criticism to get Floyd to fight Sugar Shane. After Floyd v Mosley, if Floyd wins, I hope the media pressures Floyd even more to fight Pac. Some goes for Pac, I just want to see these two fight.

Not rumors, a Fact about what they were going to do if the Pac fight didnt happen. Not rumors (Hatton, Cambell, etc..) that you never heard from anyone on in Mayweathers team. The day the Mosley Berto fight was called off, Ellerbe again came out and said this is the fight we're are going to try and make.

If you think it took an "Act of God" for Mayweather to fight Mosley, you have serious mental issues that need to be worked out.

People need to chill with the Mayweather being scared of Mosley stuff. He's fighting him, doesn't matter how it happened. He can't be that scared of him if he is going to get in the ring and fight him.

That gets annoying. I don't see how anyone in there right mind can think Mayweather is scared.

He is so scared that he is fighting a bigger stronger guy who is almost as quick. A go most experts say is the tougher fight. That's how scared Mayweather is.

pac is faster, quicker, moves better, much better stamina than mosley. mosley can't throw a 100 punches a round and pressure floyd for 12 straight.

I read the article when it was first published, but in the end it does come down to circumstances and timing. Floyd wasn't going to wait until May to wait for Mosley vs Berto winner as he was already looking for a dance partner for March and Pacquiao had a fight already set for March after the negotiations fell through. If the Mosley vs Berto fight went on and both Pac and Floyd win, where does Mosley fit in the equation?

Mosley became available and he's the best fight Floyd could take right now. But in the case that Mosley did fight and beat Berto, he still wouldn't have had a fight with Mayweather as the call for a Pacquiao vs Mayweather fight would still be at the forefront of the sport.

But like everyone has said, I'm happy this fight is finally happening, but I don't truly believe they thought it would happen this soon (or at all regardless of what Ellerbe stated...who's not always the most accurate person in the Mayweather camp).
