Paul Williams got a ton of respect for dominating Winky Wright

Hehe you won't get me with the feelings, Clottey is an elite WW fighter but Winky is at another level, Winky is greater than Clottey, he knows how to win big fights, and present a more complete skillset and a right jab.
To be honest with you Winky is greater than both Cotto and Clottey. With that said Pacquiao gets credit from me for this win, i just have a problem with how Clottey and his corner approached this fight.

winky WAS greater than clottey, keyword was. By the time he fought williams and after that long layoff he wasn't the same guy.

Regardless, what I'm getting at is the style. Put Paul Williams against Clottey and it's the same outcome - too many punches, clottey can't do **** although he would land more against williams cuz williams isn't as mobile as pac).

High output of punches like that will always beat winky/clottey type of fighters.

I'm not going to name names, but uh, there are several people on this site that were drooling from the mouth after Paul Williams essentially did the same **** that Pacquiao did against Clottey against a guy with the same exact style - throw a ton of punches for 12 rounds and win in dominating fashion.

The fact that Manny is good enough to beat the 2nd and probably 3rd ww ranked right now says alot about how good he is. I knew from the start and said all last week this was a ****** style matchup and was no way Clottey would win though..

I would have rather seen him there vs Berto or Cintron which would have been a great fight untill the probably got beat. But it would have been interesting Cintron has a rock hard punch, Berto is extremely fast and pretty talented imo. Seeing Pac beat up on a guy for 12 rounds was kind of fun but the lack of fight in his opponent ******

I give Pacquiao credit because he did what he had to do. He was the better fighter and he fought a good fight. BUT, Clottey is no Winky Wright and never has been. At least Winky tried to fight back. Clottey acted like a sparring partner.

Paul Williams is a very open guy. Too easy to hit for me, and let's not use Winky as an indicator just yet because he hasn't fought sicne and had a big ass lay off.
