Mayweather fans be honest, would Mayweather-Clottey have pulled 50k?

Two year layoff, and dude was P4P #2, and last it was to gauge how much he had left in the tank and if Marquez could do to him what he did to Pacquiao.

Lastly have you never heard of Duran vs Leonard. Little guy moves up beats bigger guy.

Shane Mosley vs De la Hoya. Little guy moves up beats bigger guy.

Mayweather vs De la Hoya. Little guy moves up beats bigger guy.

Marquez vs Diaz. Little guy moves up beats bigger guy

Roy Jones vs Ruiz. Yes it's a stretch, but little guy moves up beats bigger guy

So yeah we did support that fight but mostly for the what if factor, after we saw he still had gas in the tank the fans demanded quality opposition which is why he's fighting Mosley and not Malignaggi or Cintron, or anyone else who truly doesn't have a prayer of beating him unlike Pac.

      no.
floyd has a different kind of pull though. with a good dance partner he can promote the **** outta the fight, people wanna see him lose, and he makes ****loads on ppv's (to spend itall on twentytwoos and owe irs again).

pac is a great to see in action.

tyson was amazing to see live.
ali wasn't always. he talked like he was though.

I think Manny's got the more hardcore crowd. Many are not boxing fans...

Is Floyd not an ATG fighter? 2yrs layoff? So what? Ali in a 3 and half year lay off didn't make a fighter move up a weight-class to fight him. He fought a top 10 HW in his first fight back against Jerry Quarry. Ray Leonard after a 3yr layoff didn't make a fighter move up TWO weight-classes actually Leonard went UP a weight-class, a weight-class he never fought in before and fought THE #1 MW, an ATG in Marvin Hagler. And, Floyd couldn't find a WW to fight after an 18month layoff? And, he is suppose to be an ATG?

P4P is not a weight-class. It does not matter where he is ranked P4P, it matters where he was ranked in the division.

When Duran beat Leonard he was already proven at WW. Was JMM proven at WW?

When Shane beat Oscar, he was already proven at WW. Was JMM proven at WW?

When JMM beat Diaz, one JMM only moved one weight-class not two like he did with Floyd. And, JMM was proven at LW.

And, lets not forget it took a natural disaster of epic porportions to make him fight Shane. Because, Floyd was really close to fight Malignaggi in March 13, at the MGM grand.

people don't travel to see floyd.

they'll pay to watch it on tv but not travel.

that's why most of the fans in the pbf-jmm fight were jmm fans.

it did 1 million ppv but they couldn't sell it out.
