That sounds good if we were having a middle school debate on the subject, but the fact remains; Whatever Floyds intent is he is bringing light to a subject that needs illumination and can possibly impact the sport in a positive way.
I dont think Pac's ego is a good enough reason to block that.
Only one type of person would believe that Pac's Ego should keep NSAC testing weak as it is.
NO flag should do that sorry.Comment

The way it is...
Floyd had every right to ask for one if he felt Pacquiao was on something but Pacquiao was well within his right to say no.
But why would Floyd ask for one when he hasnt before and its not commission rules? but why would Pacquiao say no? hmmm.
Either way, i dont think Floyd was wrong to ask for the test but Pacquiao saying no is the wierd part...due to the money involved. And all this crap about cuts offs and such, i recall Floyd giving Pac a 14 day cut off but Pac wnated 24 and now we are fed with Pac said 14 days? interesting.Comment

ring size? wtf size does floyd would have wanted aside from a 20x20? a track and field oval?
gloves? pac wanted 8oz, floyd can wear whatever he wants. he can load up his hellokitty pillows if he wants to.
overweight penalty? no matter the amount, this demand has been practiced for years by a lot of fighters.
and floyd has a history of going overweight while pac has no history of whatever demands or su****ion floyd had.Comment

None of the facts change and especially the most important one. The fact that FOR WHATEVER REASON the testing impacts the sport positively.the test is bigger than boxers.ring size? wtf size does floyd would have wanted aside from a 20x20? a track and field oval?

Bigger than Floyd and yes (i know this may be hard for you to believe considering your avatar) but YES BIGGER THAN PAC.
You also state that overweight penalties have been demanded for years...fine but when have you heard of one that was 10 million per pound?
And if I remember correctly Pac fans were cheering and shouting how unimportant a pound or two was against Cotto (when it was to Pacs advantage) So why was it so important in Floyds ?Comment

Im with you but just like Money never made that request before Manny never made a 10 million dollar per overweight pound request either and nobody said anything when he made the request. The way it is...

Very good post!Look its really simple. Now a days fighters go past NSAC bullcrap with all types of on the side deals, on the side demands, catchwieghts, side bets, etc.
All of us that know boxing know this happens all the time.
No one said a damn thing about it until Floyd made one that made a fighter say NO TO A FIGHT and that is when "all of a sudden" we began to pay attention to side requests that have nothing to do with NSAC.
SO THE REQUEST IS NOT THE BIG DEAL HERE it is the FACT THAT PAC SAID NO TO A REQUEST FOR A LARGE SUM OF MONEY that shocked the world and all of us.We were all cool with it for years even up to the point when Pac made the, catchweight demands, ring sizes, glove weights and even 10 million per pound request. We were still cool. WHY? BECAUSE FLOYD ACCEPTED! and every other fighter including Cotto. If he had not then we would all be saying Floyd is a chicken and made a big deal of it.
So lets stop acting like Floyd had a crystal ball and knew if he made the request, he could see the future and KNOW that Pac would back out. Especially when he could have backed out when the ridiculous 10 mill. demand was made.
Even playing devils advocate I would not know how to respond.Comment

since you mention the bolded part lemme ask you. do you really believe floyd is on a crusade here? LOL.None of the facts change and especially the most important one. The fact that FOR WHATEVER REASON the testing impacts the sport positively.the test is bigger than boxers.
