1st off, it is extremely difficult to take a post seriously from some1 who uses "gayweather", "pac-roid" or even colorful commentary like "marga-cheato" (albeit..that just may fit). Nonetheless, it showcases the juvenile mindset/ignorance of the individual posting. These dudes earn a living from bloodsport; hence, there's nothing "gay" about a person who sacrifices his body or health via intense training, discipline & hand to hand combat. It's even less appropriate for someone who is able to navigate through it all masterfully. 2ndly, it's amusing how some folks ignore pure facts simply b/c they don't like or appreciate a particular athlete. I take nothing away from shane mosely. He's a sure 1st ballot hof'er but what PURE boxer has he EVER beaten?? Granted he took some risks in moving up in wgt to 154, but his losses to vernon forrest (god bless the dead) & miguel cotto came at 147. As for his losses to winky wright, winky is as basic as they come (turtle shell high guard defense..jab..jab..straight shot down the middle) and shane didnt come close to defeating him in two bouts. Punch stat #'s aside..did he get outboxed by cotto when it counted the most??..ABSOLUTELY. I was utterly surprised after viewing the fight b/c cotto isnt known for hand/foot speed, solid defense or utilizing a jab but he did enough to garner a decision. Forrest neutralized shane w/ the jab. Hell, de la hoya (who may have deserved the nod in their 2nd bout) outjabbed shane so how the hell is the PUREST boxer this game has seen in the past decade going to all of a sudden get railroaded by mosely?? (makes no sense). Finally, all this talk about dude (mayweather) running is nonsense. Utilizing an edge in foot speed (lateral movement, a step or two backwards or forward) is NOT running. Hell, most of the time dude is in the pocket barely getting hit darting up opponents with counters. Mofos hate on him so much (b/c of his brashness & demeanor) that they overlook the obvious. Headz are still referencing the castillo fight where he managed to prevail with a BROKEN hand, but what happened in the REMATCH (since castillo was so tough)??..He was soundly beaten and son barely lost a rd. Imma supporter of mosely but his losses indicate he has a prob with fighters who establish a very good jab and exhibit sound boxing and defense. If you've never lost, its difficult to say anything works against you so with that being said I dont see how he's going to attempt to 'outbox' the ultimate boxer. Not saying he cant get a shot in that could have floyd in trouble but again..when is the last or 1st time anyone has seen floyd stunned, rattled, on shaky legs or about to get put down?? You mofos can say he's boring all you want. Folks said the same about pernell whittaker in his prime but it doesnt require much skill to be a brawler or someone who is just going to throw bombs without implementing a strategy to avoid getting hit. All that taking 2 or 3 just to get off 1 is bs. Floyd will either win a UD or split decision via a virtual boxing chess match. One
