Who agrees Clottey has better D than Fraud?

Because Mayweather will not shell up and do nothing. He creates offense from his defense, and can still make someone look silly dodging punches.

No, just no. While Clottey has tight D, it's not special. Fighters can do what he does, maybe not at the same rate but at a pretty good clip. Floyd's D is pretty and very effective. He also can work off his D well to a pretty solid O. Clottey a good on the D but Floyd is special with his D. IMO, he is number 3 of all time when you talk defensive fighters.

defense is defense. Clottey doesn't get hit alot just like Floyd. Floyd's may look "prettier" because he's constantly moving and looking to counter whereas Clottey just waits til his opponent is finished throwing.

Floyd has a better defense than Clottey. However, I just don't see Floyd beating Pac and I think deep down a lot of Floyd fans know this. With his huge punching output and limitless stamina it will very hard for Floyd to win a decision and he's simply not going to get a KO. People look at the Marquez fights as evidence of a style that can beat him but he's improved so much from then. Will get a better idea after May 1st...

In that, he barely got tagged...meanwhile we've seen Fraud stumble around either off balance or not here and there in his fights. Judah caught Fraud with a quick hook...Hatton made Fraud stumble back. You can't be that sloppy or have 1 defense lapse against Pac. I honestly believe Clottey has better D than Fraud in that the way he covers his head and body altogether is way better than Fraud trying to slip punches while his head is still exposed. You saw how Pac was throwing to the sides of Clottey's head? Imagine that moreso on Fraud who doesn't even defense his head completely. Pac will get to it so much easier than Clottey it ain't even funny. If Fraud makes it 12 rounds I WILL BE IMPRESSED.

While Clottey's D is airtight and hardly ever gets caught, it restricts his offense and overall effectiveness. Standing there covering up and not throwing anything back will not win you fights.

Floyd on the other hand uses movement, shoulder rolls to slip punches and fire back right away. His defense allows him to set up own counters, he's never a sitting duck for long periods of time because of this, which is what Clottey is a victim of.

Floyd's D is never a liability unlike Clottey's as far as winning fights.

Floyd's movement alone will reduce Pac's punch output, it will be competitive fight if they ever get it on.
