That Fight Was Williams-Wright All Over Again + Floyd

It went just how I predicted which is what the Williams-Wright fight was like. You cant fight that style against a Southpaw who throws an unlimited amount of punches and never tires. Its just dumb fights. Everyone knows the way to dominate Winky & Clottey is to put the handcuffs on them for the whole fight. Its just that most people dont have that style but everyone knows that Williams & Pac have it. Clottey & Winky are always going to wait until you stop before they start but what happeneds if you hardly ever stop? Then as soon as Winky & Clottey do start, its always just like a basic 1-2 or 1-2-3 combo and then all you have to do is punch one more time to get them back in there shell again.

That fight was garbage with Clottey standing there looking like an idiot all night. Atleast try something different. Its like he was content with getting the pay day, exposure, and fighting the best, but never cared about giving his all to win. That doesnt take anything away from Pac though. Its hard to keep that stuff up for 12 rounds. I will say though that people thought I was crazy when I said that Floyd could use the same style as Clottey & Winky just like he did against the other Southpaws he fought. He could come right at Pac, block alot of shots, but unlike Winky & Clottey, Floyd can fire back with quick accurate shots more often that will snap Pac's head back and he wont stay in his shell nearly as long. I also think Pac wouldnt even swing nearly as much even with Floyd in that shell due to the fact that his counters come back so quickly.

Im just saying that Floyd will end up walking him down just like Clottey except way more effective and I wouldnt even be shocked if he started the fight that way but he probably well counter 1st and then switch around round 4. I honestly for the 1st time ever was getting worried that maybe Pac could beat Floyd straight up after watching all his workout vids with the fast hands & feet but even though he put on a master performance against Clottey, I came away actually feeling way worst about Pac in regards to a Floyd fight. Roach says that he has his game plan ready but he better make sure he's right or that Pac catches him with a lucky punch early because its curtains for him if he doesnt

Pac did very good. He can throw fast, nonstop, and pretty accurate. That fight makes my mouth water.

Serious question: Seeing what you saw and assuming Floyd sees it the same way, is there any chance this gives Floyd the confidence to drop the blood test demands?

NO but I do think that at the end last time both sides were very close and I also think neither side truly wanted the fight right then due to the time and everything else. I think they will end up agreeing on something basically like 3 pretty much non random drug test with the last date 19 days out or some dumb ****

50/50 fight for me in fact im kinda leaning towards pac right now.. it's either floyd goes on defense mode 100% and gets drowned by pac's nonstop offense or he stands his ground against and fight. And the better thing for him to do IMO is to stand his ground and fight like marquez did. Which will take him out of his comfort zone and into pac's.

Seriously Sammy, I was honestly going to make a long ass thread last week when the vid came out of Pac mocking Floyd but it was so late that I was too tired to do it. Then every day after I kept saying I should make it now but I still never felt like it and I also felt that it wouldnt have been as good because I knew that I would forget alot of stuff I was going to say on that 1st night. That vid along with other vids but e****ally that one got to me. I was just like Pac is insane now. He doesnt look human and then with the music playing at the end, I was going to talk about how do we as fans realize that its almost over? I mean this is our era and in a couple of fights both Floyd & Pac will be gone but all we do is ***** about them. Watching that vid it was the 1st time I was like Pac really is our Henry Armstrong.

We clown and say that he's not on that type of level but the truth is we just say that because we are young but in 30 years everyone will be talking about that guy back in the day named Pac and we will be telling people how we saw every one of his fights and how much of a monster he was and how we havent seen the likes of him sense. I wont hate on that ****. We are watching greatness and not appreciating it and the same goes for Floyd. I was going to talk about dealing with our own mortality about how Chis Webber & the Fab 5 were my favorite things ever but now Ive seen them come in and all retire. Its like we are getting old. All these guys I remember coming into the pros are retired now. I grew up with Larry Johnson and everyone says he's an old back now.

Thats how I feel about guys like Floyd & Pac. Ive seen them come in and now Im seeing them leave and I think we should appreciate that **** more. Thats when I was starting to think for the 1st time that Pac may actually beat Floyd because in those vids he just looked so sick and you could tell he actually believes now that he is unstoppable but after the fight I came away thinking that Floyd is just a better pure fighter, no matter the explosivness of Pac and that will do him in

This fight definitely was similar to Williams-Wright so good comparison there. On another note, does anyone have a link to the video of Manny mocking Floyd? I missed that one.

The saying has always been "A great defense will beat a great offense", but that is not always the case.

Floyd does have the arsenal to keep Manny at bay. When Manny has success against him in the fight, and he will because of his dynamic attack, will Floyd open up in response or fall into a shell? That will determine how the fight will go. Floyd will be forced to open up and fight at times. Will he want to?
