Are there patterns in people's favorite boxers?

I'm in no way dissing any fighter or poster or ethnicity in this thread, I am simply posting something I have noticed.

I have noticed that there are certain patterns in the favorite fighters of boxing fans. Let me explain.

My favorite fighters right now are Manny Pacquiao, Felix Trinidad, and Diego Corrales. All 3 of them are bombs away sluggers who could care less about what the other guys are hitting them with. But there are other things that affect these patterns.

How many Roy Jones fans also like Zab Judah and Floyd Mayweather? How many Barrera fans also like Morales and Marquez? How many Hatton fans also like Calzaghe and Kessler? There are cultural and ethnic things that play a role in some of the fighters that people like, not just styles.

I know it may sound pointless, but there is a point to this thread. I'm just being diplomatic.

I tend to "fall in love" with fighters with strong psyche/strong mentality now that I think about it.
My favorite fighters today are Toney, Hopkins and Tszyu. All fighters with tremendous mental toughness.

You got yourself a good point here, it remains to be seen if anyone's smart enough to figure it out.
Maybe we favour the fighters that's able to do what we wish to be able to. Maybe you would like to not care, like your favorite fighters. Or maybe you would like to be entertaining and popular?
      Don't know.
This is psychology, and someone smarter than me have to figure this one out.

It's not an exact science. I have noticed a pattern, what it means is open to interpretation.

But of course everyone has a certain something they look in fighter...
I like fighters that can present themselves outside the ring.. Can say two sentences together...
Forman, Klitschkos, Tszyu, De La Hoya, Holyfield, Brewster, RJJ, Brock..
Regardless of their background, skin color or appearance.

But saying (even though you didn't) that someone would like RJJ, Mayweather, and Judah as they are black and very short to bold hair is ******!

I'm not racist, in fact my sister Mary is half black and I have half brothers and sisters that are chinese, and my stepfather is mexican. But I'm saying that some things are coincidental. Jones fans seem predisposed to liking Mayweather and Judah.

                  hmm

So you don't like that *****boy in your avatar, asian?

Anyway, I like RJJ, and don't care for Judah or Mayweather. My other favorites are Pacquiao, Dorin, Klitschko, Castillo, Ouma, Wright, and De La Hoya.
