Joshua Clottey - I salute you

Don't listen to the haters, you went 12 rounds versus Pac Man which is more than most have done. In fact you're the first man to do so since 2007; three years ago.

Let the haters hate. Styles make fights, you gave it your all and you were never once seriously troubled but you got beat by the world's best P4P boxer. No shame in that at all.

When everyone @ 147 can go 12 rounds with Pac Man then imo people can criticize Clottey.

    my 2 cents

Yes but his whole gameplan was survival. He never even tried to win it.

but he did show up guys. Defence in stself is an artform and I doubt many others could survive Manny's assaults while playing defence.

That's why Im pissed i ordered the fight, and people on here dont seem to realize that Clottey wasnt in it to win it, you cant explain anything to these wannabes/newbs/biased posters though... Clottey was in it to win it maybe the first few rounds, and after a while he realized he was down on the cards, and pretty much stopped trying to win and just make it 12 rounds like he's Rocky Balboa and he'll make millions of dollars and be popular because he went the distance with the champion... Sorry Joshua, this isnt a movie and it's not the 1970's anymore, people know the champion, not the chump who got punished by him the whole fight.

you must not have seen pac-barrera 2. Pacquiao came in out of shape from partying too much and Barrera was satisfied with inflicting headbutts and elbows more than punching.

He did what he could. His style wasn't gonna change all of a sudden. Problem was that whenever he hit Pacquiao he would get hit 4-5 times, from EXCEPTIONAL fast combinations... Pacquaio seemed very small compared to Clottey though, I don't think he should fight a bigger fighter.

Not that it makes much difference but it was 2 years ago JMM went 12 rounds with Pac.

I have to admit Clottey's defense held up much better than I thought it would.
