Clottey blew a chance of a lifetime!

This was a mega fight with one of the best fighters on the planet, and Clottey chose to keep a closed guard for 12 rounds instead of fighting.

IMO Clottey made this fight boring, he just stood there with his chin glued to his chest and hands up, turned himself into a moving heavy bag! You would think this was his chance to step up and push the pace to take the belt, it seemed like there was no sense of urgency from him after his corner yelled for him to get creative and let his hands go.

Pac even let him into the pocket to throw some free punches so the fight would start but nothing changed from Clottey, it was so frustrating watching the man fight... im sure he would have got more respect if he fought his heart out and got KO'd rather than holding guard for 12 rounds, its ludicrous.

Oh well, it was an opportunity of a lifetime to make a name of himself infront of a 50,000 strong crowd, I dont think anyone would be interested to fight Clottey anytime soon after his lackluster performance.

Disappointing performance from Clottey for sure. I think he was more concerned about his reputation of never being knocked out in a fight than he was of winning.

Pacquiao was just too good, I thought Clottey fought a very good fight, he could of let his hands go more, but Pacquiao wouldn't allow that.

Clottey's Trainer already admitted that he fight fire with Fire, Clottey would get KTFO..

If David Diaz motto is more competitive than Hatton and De La Hoya.

Clottey's motto Pacquiao was unable to Knock him out like Cotto and Hatton.

Yeah i thought Pac's speed and workrate were the main reasons he defended so tight. Clottey could have made it more interesting if he let his hands go more, he was doing considerable damage when he did throw... and you could see how heavy his hands were.

I agree clottey performance is very disappointing, he should fight pac with reckless abandon attitude there no more 2nd chance.
