Pacquiao fan here, but from what I saw tonight, Floyd would beat Pacquiao.

Pac seems frustrated the opponent was not fighting back. He loses a lot more energy doing all the work. I thought he would lose out of exhaustion.

That's why he said at the end of the fight that it was tough. It was the first time he experienced something like that. He implied that Mayweather might be easier.

What Clottey was able to do to Pacquiao makes no change on my prediction between Mayweather and Pacquiao.

I already knew Pacquiao wasn't hard to catch with clean punches.

I got Mayweather winning a decision by the way.

I don't like to put a whole assumption on one fight, but I kinda agree. Before last night I was still backing Floyd in a close hard decision and now I am more confident that Floyd will take it, still in a close fight though obviously. Last night Manny struggled landing and when Clottey actually started to throw punches he was landing more clearly then Manny, but Manny deserved the decision cause Clottey wasn't busy enough at all.

Clottey has a pretty good defense but Mayweather is more sound defensively and more athletic, he will use the high guard cause you can't shoulder roll southpaws and he will keep moving his head, moving around the ring and setting traps for Manny, he will try to make him miss and then make him pay, plus Floyd is also good at blocking punches. It will still be a close and hard fight for Floyd though IMO cause Manny does have a high workrate.

When I was watching the fight and much credit to Manny for doing what he did, I was thinking if that was Floyd he'd have landed a lot in there and made Manny miss a lot, Floyd is faster than Clottey and would be able to counter him more easily. I don't think Floyd would stop Manny though, maybe if he was caught moving in but I think it will most likely be a decision, cause even though Mayweathers power can be underrated it still aint his strongest point.

But, who knows I could be wrong... Clottey is tough and maybe there was something there that I didn't see.

The key to Pac is his opponent's ability to absorb his punches and at the same time could counter punch. I've said this before the fight. Clottey was successful in the first regard, but his counter punching ability was lacking.

Floyd has his own - and far more difficult - challenge on May 1. Would not look ahead if I were him.

LOL at Clottey's offense. On a serious note, I think Floyd might have a better shot than anybody at beating Pac, but he's too much of a coward to even try. Floyd needs to get testicle implants.

Pac hasn't faced someone that he wasn't able to hit... not even a tight defense like clottey.. if clottey countered more, he would've been hit more.

Floyd can counterpunch better but I don't think he's as durable as a full-blown welterweight like clottey. so probably wouldn't absorb the punches better than clottey.

i know floyd will be able to counterpunch Pac, but I'm also almost sure Pac will be able to hit him with some of his powerpunch no matter what because he has speed too, and he would match floyd's stamina in the later rounds.

after tonight, I now think it will be a very close fight. I was leaning towards floyd before.

this is funny because people always sees the flaws after they fight so they usually say "he won but this other man will beat him" in chorus.
