Agreed. If you have a "crowd pleasing style" and you lose 10 fights in a row, you won't be able to draw a crowd at a junior high school behind the bushes.

              But they do.
When was Pacman last loss? I think it helps when you are fighting Hatton and Oscar. Two of the biggest draws in boxing

it depends on how you lose. sometimes losses only stays on your record but you win the fans & media's respect & admiration.

Rafael marquez lost to izzy vasquez 2x but both fighters clearly won the fans, media, & both gained in stature because of those fights win or lose.

Same thing with tommy hearns losing to ray leonard & marvin hagler. Same thing with erik morales losing to marco antonio barerra, same thing with joe frazier losing to ali, same thing with alexis arguello losing to aaron pryor & same thing with other countless fights that fighters lost but the fact that they fought great opposition & put up a great fight they all gained something more endearing & eternally meaningful than high ppv numbers & high rated 24/7 shows.

Floyd was helped extremely by the popularity of Hatton and Oscar. Floyd wasnt a draw at all until Oscar introduced him to everyone. I hope he thanked Oscar.

Those fighters would kill to have that kind of promotion. These guys box to put food on the table the more you win the more money you stand to make.

Anyone who think these guys just fight for the hell of it need a reality check.
