Anyone who thinks Khan has taken an easy option by facing malignaggi need to put this fight for him in context: Khans first fight in USA, fighting in Malignaggi's back yard and fighting for the first time on HBO. Name me one british fighter who has done this at his point of his career? You wont be able to name one, I can assure youComment

aznhybrid, im just saying that it is not an easy fight, im not saying that it is not easiER than the maidana fight. A lot of people overrate Maidana saying that hell ko Amir easily, they just need to remember that he has NOT proven himself yet, just like Amir Khan hasn't. (PS. IMO Khan shouldnt have to fight 2 mandatories consecutively)Last edited by koyes; 03-13-2010, 04:58 PM.Comment

Khan haters - prepare to eat humble pie!
Malignaggi is a brave fight for Khan, only Cotto in his prime and a focussed Hatton have defeated him (That first Diaz win was badly judged). If Khan can't close the ring down, he'll lose on points.
Let's just get one thing straight though, Khan's glass jaw won't be an issue! His main mistake against Prescott wasn't made in the ring. It was his foolish decision to employ an amatuer coach, fail to prepare... etc. This (Khan) is a world champion who hasn't even reached 75% of his potential. His defenses have improved 10 fold under Roach. He has maintained his speed from Lightweight but his power and accuracy are improving by the fight.
If he does go on from this fight to meet Maidana, I think all you American fight fans will be dissapointed. Khan'd do him in 3 or 4 rounds. Bradley is a far more accomplished boxer and an infinitely mote interesting match for Khan.
Don't worry about the pressure he'll be under over the there, us Brits haven't done badly in recent years in good ol U.S.of A.. And he's a Pakistani from England, you think he's always had the crowd behind him? You need to come over here and watch a British title fight at one these recreation centres we have, when you and half a dozen mates are outnumbered by 2 or 3 hundred lunatics from another part of country getting racial slurs thrown at you like confetti!
Anyway, Khan on points, he'll be keen to out wit Malignaggi but I don't think he's got the experience, just yet, to finish him like Hatton did.Comment
