I have been reading the threads in this forum for sometime now, and have never been inclined to register and post until now! Corralles vs Castillo immediate rematch is another black eye to boxing. It only shows that the corrupt organizations will do what they have to do, in order to keep their best interest at hand. You guys are crazy if you want to see a rematch between those two, and the WBC should be ashamed for ordering an immediate rematch, **** happens, get over it. You don't see the L.A. Lakers asking for a NBA finals rematch to the Pistons, nor do you see the Yankees crying for another game 4 of the series with the Redsox, when they were 1 inning away from closing out the series, then why should Castillo get and immediate rematch when he officially lost? One reason I am against any immediate rematches is because it clogs up the pipe line for other top contenders, who want their shot at a belt, and who have paid dues in their own right. It's just not right for the title to get tied up in recycled fights. I don't mean to sound cold, but I wish Toney Weeks would have let Corralles beat Castillo into a freaking coma, then we wouldn't have to deal with this controversy about who did what, who stopped what, and who spit what!!

For the first time I agree with your crazy ass. And a rematch is good for boxing, in my opinion. The fight is going to be huge now that people know who these guys are. These two warriors are going to get a nice, big payday, and if Castillo wins, we could be treated to one hell of a trilogy. I'm all for it.

Thats because Corrales is a little ***** with no character.. Youd never see Castillo cheat like that.. Diego Corrales is a wife beater, not to mentioned that he cried like a little ***** when Mayweather beat him up.. Then to make it worse, he has to cheat to win.. Castillo will beat him senseless next time

I hate to break this to you, but Castillo is actually one of the dirtier fighters around, inside. He holds'n'hits, shoots low, leads with his head, etc. I expect the only reason he's never used the old "Mouthpiece Toss-Across" is because he's got such a great chin that he's never been down before. The fight against Corrales was about the cleanest he's ever fought in the ring. Don't get me wrong, he's not as bad as Casa Mayor, but he's not that far from it.

Anyway, I don't think Corrales would've been KO'd without the extra 18 or 20 seconds he got from dropping his gum-guard. Remember, he was knocked down 5 times against PBF, and got back up every time. And without a 3 KD rule in the fight against Castillo, I think things would've probably turned out the same way they did regardless. Castillo would've been far better off if he'd gone down, rather than getting caught on the ropes. A knockdown would've given him time to recover that Weeks couldn't give him (no standing 8 rule) while he was caught on the ropes and getting pounded.

The rematch is good for boxing if anything. At the end of the fight there was a feeling that Corrales received help to win the fight.

Lets face it, I bet if their nationalities were reveresed it would bet it would be U.S. newspapers and magazines saying the same thing, that the ending didnt seem right.

If the rematch wasnt ordered Corrales wouldnt have given a well deserved rematch and Castillo would have been forgotten despite showing in that fight that he could be his equal maybe more.

HAhaha, Corrales isn't his equal or more. He cheated to get more time, then took advantage of it.

He should be stripped, or there should be a rematch, or a no contest, something.
