The rematch is good for boxing if anything. At the end of the fight there was a feeling that Corrales received help to win the fight.

Lets face it, I bet if their nationalities were reveresed it would bet it would be U.S. newspapers and magazines saying the same thing, that the ending didnt seem right.

If the rematch wasnt ordered Corrales wouldnt have given a well deserved rematch and Castillo would have been forgotten despite showing in that fight that he could be his equal maybe more.

A rematch doesn't bring fans back into the seats as much unless it is a legend like Tyson. I don't think Tyson will fill the seats anymore now that he loses constantly. What brings fans into the seats is seeing an Apollo Creed giving an Rocky Balboa, analogically speaking a chance to get a look or touch of the belt. Many boxing fans have maybe strayed due to the refs calls. That is a whole other contraversy. A rematch between Corales and Castillo is a bad call. When you get best that bad, it is time to retrain and work yourself up to that level of your winning opponent. The crying needs to stop people! What happened to good fighting like Ali, Frazer, etc? Where are the poet boxers. Let's see the boxing commission set up more of those fights.

Man what you guys are failing to realize is that Corralles beat Castillo at his own game, stop acting like that mouthpiece incident was the deciding factor. Put what you guys are saying into perspective and apply it to another sport, then you will realize how ****** that excuse sounds. For example: The Lakers are playing the Kings, and the game is tied with a few ticks left on the clock in the fourth quarter, the Lakers have the ball and they throw it in to Shaq ( scenario 1: let Shaq dunk the ball and your team looses by two, or Scenario 2: you foul Shaq, which is kind of a punk move but it is legal, and he misses both free throws, and the Kings go down and score and win by two. It is called self preservation, and I don't care how much you say it is messed up, if you were in a street fight and you had a choice of getting knocked out or picking up a handfull of dirt and throwing it in someones face, what are you going to do? Castillo benefitted from that rest as much as Corralles did, he just got reckless in following Corralles around thinking that he had him badly hurt!! The rematch wont be any different, because Castillo can't fight any other way, the was the best that Castillo had to offer, and he still came up short, but on the other hand Corralles can do more things in the ring, mainly box, so don't get fooled into thinking that the second fight will be like the first one, because they seldom are. Corralles by knock out in the 8th if it happens again.

that's no excuse. it's a ***** move, no doubt, but a smart one. it goes back to barrios haha.

barrios did it against freitas, freitas still won.

freitas did it against corrales, corrales still won.

corrales did it against castillo, castillo couldnt finish him off the right way. its castillos fault.

I disagree with your predicted outcome if and when it happens. I do agree that rematches are always different. The loser gains much more than the winner and let me explain why. A winner knows what he did to win, but a loser knows what he must do to win. You learm more from a loss than a win. Many will probably disagree with this. Castillo will KO Coralles in 7. Coralles must work him hard in the first rounds to hurt Castillo. Castillo/Coralles III will bea deciding factor for each boxer on where and when the future will hold for their careers.

Corralles vs Castillo immediate rematch is another black eye to boxing. It only shows that the corrupt organizations will do what they have to do, in order to keep their best interest at hand. You guys are crazy if you want to see a rematch between those two, and the WBC should be ashamed for ordering an immediate rematch, **** happens, get over it. You don't see the L.A. Lakers asking for a NBA finals rematch to the Pistons, nor do you see the Yankees crying for another game 4 of the series with the Redsox, when they were 1 inning away from closing out the series, then why should Castillo get and immediate rematch when he officially lost? One reason I am against any immediate rematches is because it clogs up the pipe line for other top contenders, who want their shot at a belt, and who have paid dues in their own right. It's just not right for the title to get tied up in recycled fights. I don't mean to sound cold, but I wish Toney Weeks would have let Corralles beat Castillo into a freaking coma, then we wouldn't have to deal with this controversy about who did what, who stopped what, and who spit what!!

WOW! Finally i find a smart and humane person on the boards!!!!!! I totally agree with you man! Ignore the Ruiz **** sucking nuthugger....he has nothing intelligent or meaningful to say so wastes our time by putting in some bs.

IM SORRY PPL! THE REMATCH AINT GONNA HAPPEN! Castill is still a true champ and gave it his all but, he's gotta take the loss like a real pro. Corrales won bottom line.

Castillo will beat him senseless next time
What?! castillo is known for his rough house tactics,

Something you guys are forgetting is that corrales went int there and fought castillos fight, the mouth piece excuse is bs,castillo still lost legit, not just any fighter gets up after two visious knowckdows and KO's the other guy, corrales could have gone easier on himself by creating alittle room and jabbing once in a while,he landed great combos when he did that, but no instead he chose to give boxing fans a great show,so quit whinin.

                      there is NO controversy.

corrales was penalized for spitting his mouthpiece out twice.

theres loads of tactics used by boxers & its down to the ref
to act accordingly. im sure the ref wasnt expecting corrales
to get up & whup castillo but **** happens. .

maybe castillo should of taken a leaf outta corrales's book
cause he was getting caught clean & should of taken a knee.
                      (or spat his gumshield out)

the stoppage was perfectly timed. it was over for castillo..
