Damn, should have been a TKO for Clottey. At least i know Clottey doesn't give up on speedy fighters, he's patient enough.

I hope tomorrow's fight won't be stopped due to headbutts, i say let the action go as long as both are still standing.

I'm interested since *****s pointed out before that Zab was a good way to simulate Pacquiao's speed. In that case, does Clottey know how to deal with speedsters? How?

        discuss.
Cmon man, look at it from an actual tactical point of view.

IMHO I felt Zab won the fight. He outboxed Clottey the first 4 rounds and won rounds here and there till the 9th. CLottey caused a bad cut over Zabs eye with a punch but the ref ruled it by way of a headbutt. Zab was real elusive and outboxed Clottey left and right. CLottey however was gaining some momentum and couldve possibly broken Zab down in the later rounds as is the regular routine with Zab Judah and bigger stronger opponents.

Zab couldnt really hurt Clottey but had some very impressive hand speed footwork and clocked Clottey with highlight real 5-7 punch combos at a time.

Zab only came in at 143lbs in the weigh in. He didnt have that true welterweight strength.

it went to a decision in favor of Clottey.

Pretty much if the Pac camp studied that fight they will blow Clottey away. Pacquiaos style is taylor made for Clottey. Clottey rarely moves when getting hit and concentrates too much on covering up. Pacquiao has the same handspeed and footspeed as Zab but packs way more of a punch and lands much cleaner.

only reason Baldo hurt Zab was because Zab didnt train at all for that fight. If Don King hadnt had Zab out late nights and early mornings promoting the bout then he wouldve had much more time in the gym and wouldve destroyed baldo in a way better fashion than mayweather.

Zab shouldve had a W for Baldo too, that was a one sided fight with the exception of the knockdown. Zab was clearly the better fighter

Typical Zab started well and Clottey started to get to him...Clottey started whooping dat ass and then cut Zab...Zab gambled on hoping he had a lead on the cards, which he didn't....

This is really Clottey's best win...which is part of the reason I see no way he can beat Pacquiao. Clottey doesn't work enough and doesn't do anything spectacular...

Thanks, you make me think the fight is good enough to warrant a replay later. I pity Zab, he has great speed, and i think he's good enough to roll at JWW right now, pity that he's known to be mentally fragile.

Funny that a few months ago some posters were saying Zab was more precise than Pac.

Well despite his low KO ratio, Clottey did manage to make Margarito's face swollen, so anything can still happen, he is a big welter compared to an overblown JWW in Pac.

I don't know, but i got a feeling that Pacquiao will showboat a bit like he did in MAB II, and Larios, which i don't want to happen since i want to see a mid-late stoppage.

Clottey won the first few rounds, then I believe Zab won a few, Clottey was basically overpowering Zab, hurting him some, Zab landed cleanly some but never hurt Clottey, then Clottey busted him open good with a punch, ref ruled it a headbut, went to cards, Clottey wins.

i don't think they put blocked punches on highlight reels and if they do then zab has some pretty crappy highlight reels.
