What rubbish. Here are the punch stats when Cotto fought Clottey:

Total Punches:

Landed: Cotto: 179 Clottey: 222
Thrown: Cotto: 723 Clottey: 622

He threw almost as many punches as Cotto did, and landed a lot more punches than Cotto did. To say he has no offence is just silly.

And Roach has never said that he has no offence.

man, offense is not at all about punch stats. if that was the case, everyone on this board would worship floyd, because his punch stats are leagues above everyone else's. clottey's problem is he doesnt know when to turn it up to the next level. he fights at his opponent's level. and he loses that way as well...his offense aint better than cotto's, his offense was maybe just as good as cotto's but it could have been better. who's fault was it that it wasnt???it was clottey's. he has huge flaws, and he shouldnt be fighting manny.

no not mind boggling at all..what is mind boggling is how pac fans said that cotto beat clottey and that he was the more tougher fight for pac..after pac DUCKED floyd and decided to fight clottey pac fans are saying that clottey really won the fight and that be is a tougher fighter for pac...easy math..pac is fighting the guy that lost to the guy he just beat..do we spend $50.00 on this? not a pac fan but i have seen enough of clottey to know that he is a tough fight for any ww in the world. im excited for this fight because of the style match up and in my opinion i think this fight will be an action packed one

I believe that he will have to throw more than usual and will have to attack the body early in order to have a chance to win.

The problem is that Clottey is not a big puncher as in power puncher. His punching power is average to above average but not great. His KO totals are decent but not impressive by any means. In last ten fights he has KO'd only one guy and it was a TKO. Another fight was stopped due to a cut resulting in a Techinal decision (Judah fight).

if clottey couldnt beat cotto with one eye and pac destroyed him when he had two eyes why should i be hyped about this fight? i mean we have seen what style of fighter fits into pacs hands im ready to see him fight a fighter who moves and counter not a straight forward semi offensive dude who hes gonna destroy. im sure it will be exciting though pacs that tpe of fighter who makes it exciting but im no way at all pumped about it im right up the street from the statium in dallas and im not going
