his tendency to only throw punches for 1 minute of every round will be a big factor in him getting beaten up

i think it'll be way more competitive than people think. i honestly believe people are seriously underestimating how tough this fight could be for pac. clottey is just a big of a threat as cotto was, if not bigger. there are those who gave (fans and media ringside) the fight to clottey (when he fought cotto). so really, they could've given the 24/7 and huge promotion to any of the two since both are pretty much similar in skills. they gave it to cotto of course because of his market (puerto rico has a huge boxing following and tradition) and he got the wins that mattered that put him in a ppv star position. clottey has been almost there but not quite, he's come up just a tad short when given the big opportunities.
the guy fought a better fight against margarito than cotto did actually. there are a lot of factors, that if put together, make you realize that if there were expectations for cotto before he fought pac ... there certainly needs to be expectations for clottey as well. not to mention the guy is built like a machine and has never been stopped, he'll keep coming. he's a big guy and he'll be fighting at 147 too, which doesn't look like much, but it'll play to his advantage. i'm honestly really excited and pumped for this fight, it'll be quite an entertaining and interesting fight that all boxing fans will enjoy. tomorrow's going to be a good goooood night.

I had lunch with my kids in McDonalds the other day and I was in the play room letting my kids romp around there were two Phillipine women sitting next to me and they were talking about boxing. I heard them mention Clottey and Pac fight. I asked them who they were routing for as if I didn't already know the answer to the question. I was very surprised with what I heard. They said they were routing for Pacquiao as I thought but what surprised me was the fact they knew who CLottey was. One of the women said yes Pacquiao is a great warriro but many are underestimating the size and strength of Joshua. He has only been beaten two times and both were VERY close fights with TOP WW competition. She said this fight will be at 147lbs and Joshua will be outweighing Pacquiao by at least 10lbs in the ring.
She pointed out the SPEED factor saying that the biggest trouble Joshua will have is with Manny's speed she was not looking for a knockout rather a 12 round decision for Pacquiao..I was shocked to see how knowledgeable these two woemn were about boxing. They mentioned Miguel Cotto and Mosely vs Mayweather. They were very excited about the upcoming fights in the super 6. The other women told me she was praying that Manny would win but she honestly thought CLottey was going to beat him. Stating the recent run at WW was a heaven sent for her people but as we know all good things come to an end and she thought Clottey had the style to give Manny trouble. I am convinced that NOT all Pacquiao fans are ignorant to the sport of boxing. Especially these two youngs mothers @ McDonalds here in Brooklyn.....Lefty
I made this comment on another forum years ago and I was laughed at but: This kid is going to be bigger than Oscar and Ray Leonard. If he's not already.

As long as Pac makes the proper investments to the body Clottey will be even less busy than he usually is. He should be on his bike by mid-fight. If not he will be swole up and unrecognizable by mid fight. Him standing there taking blind combinations from Pacquiao won't be the same as what he did with Cotto. Half the shots Pac hits him with he won't see coming out of the south paw stance. I was doubting Pacquiao for a minute but the bigger Clottey comes in, the slower he will be. If he comes in light he will be weak. I can't see him doing much with Pacquiao unless he's got a great plan. And right now, personally, I can't think of one that I would try to employ aside from fighting dirty. Head butts, punches in the ass cheeks, etc. Anything that will slow the Asian Avalanche down.
