These guys had just experienced their first professional loss which is devasting for a fighters confidence. Now add to the fact that they were KO'd and maybe you might get an idea of how much damage that would cause. Their peak perfomance was clearly behind them if you saw their following fights.

Exactly, What's funny though is how you hear roach saying how "pacquiao wants mayweather so badly" and how "pacquiao say's he wants to knock him out". Yet everything out of Arum's mouth seem's to give off every indication that he's not interested in negotiating with Mayweather. What came 1st the chicken or the egg? Well in this case i think both these lying bastard's hatched at the same time. Instead of beating the press and fans with bull**** smokescreen's to cloud the REAL issue; they need to come out and say what hardcore boxing fan's already know. " WE ARE NOT GOING TO SUBJECT TO RANDOM BLOOD TESTING, THEREFORE WE WILL NOT BE FIGHTING Floyd Mayweather if he wins on May 1st."

jesus , for $40 mil. i'd let them handcuff my hands during the fight.

plus even if it was manny's PRINCIPLE or whatever. for that kind of money you don't think arum and roach would fly to philippines 10 times and get on their knees and beg manny to take the fight?

arum has his own agenda. this deal with jones could benefit him for more than just ONE fight.

roach probably has his own for not wanting the fight yet. he did say he'd like more time to prepare manny right?

that's why i think they didn't push manny too hard to take the fight. the drug thing was just an excuse.

better to say , "floyd is making crazy demands" than to say "we want to fight in dallas because it'll benefit my promotional company in the future" or "we're not ready and i want manny to have more time to prepare."
no way...if manny was not juicing and mayweather asked for random drug test, team pac would have taken those test. there is no way arum would have gambled with pacs reputation like that.. not to strengthen relations with jerry jones. there is always the future to make negotiations w/ jerry but once a persons reputation is tarnished it usually is tarnished forever. Pac is arums cash cow..dont think he would avoid floyd amid steroid accusations over jerrys business relationship.
