Comments Thread For: Clottey: I Don't Care if Pacquiao Throws 1,000 Punches

Believe it or not this is going to be Pacquiao's best fight. He hasn't fought a real right handed fighter yet at 147, and I believe that his style now is much more well suited to fight the right handers. Cotto's a left hander.... Watch the way Pacquiao moves away from the right hand now, to his own rightt. Pacquiao will dominated Clottey from the beginning. Clottey only fights about 30 seconds of every round too.

noone expected Manny to take the bigger Cotto's punches well....he proved alot of us wrong......now it seems that people are really thinking that the bigger Clottey won't be able to take the smaller Manny's punches well....you guys never seem to amaze me...really!!!.....please don't be suprised if Manny is unable to hurt or stop Josh, ok?!?......its kinda funny how Manny has people thinking the unthinkable these days......a year ago Clottey would've been too big....a few stylistic friendly fights for Manny and BOOM!!!......calm down and breathe, reality will still be here on Saturday night or Sunday depending on your location, and you all are welcome to enter it!!.....if Manny wins this it will be by decision.....thats REAL!!.....do you homework and find me time in a fight where Clottey was hurt or staggered.....and please don't bring up that lam off balance flash knock down against Cotto...come on now!!
......I got Clottey shocking the world.....I know the general public is picking Manny big but those same dudes picked Oscar over Manny, Margarito over Mosley and Pavlik over B.Hop......I think it was Jim Lampley who said boxing is the theatre of the unexpected....or something of that nature!!

Clottey knows how to fight and he is a more technical fighter in the sense that he actually has traditional boxing skills. He is not some strong durable welterweight being walked to the slaughterhouse. Manny can throw as many punches as he wants because the more he throws the more openings Clottey will see. Clottey will be more accurate then Manny. He's going to press the action and Manny will be moving all over the ring on his bicycle trying to pick his spots. Clottey is going to systematically break Manny down with a quick jab, lead rights and hooks to the body. If u listen to Pac fans then Clottey will just show up to pick up his check but what they don't realize is Clottey is coming to pick up his check and his next meal ticket after he relinguishes Manny of all his belts and mystique.

If Clottey would/could increase his punch output with his defense he'd really be a hell of an opponent for anyone. Not that he isn't now, but I feel his style gives to many rounds to opponents. Clottey is no doubt good when he fights, but his offense doesn't flow fluently behind his defense. Maybe an average of 20-30 more punches per round an Clottey would be beastly. He also needs to jab more and with power. A stiff jab with his defense and counter punching would do wonders for Clottey if he picks up his punch output.
