Comments Thread For: Enzo Calzaghe is Set To Retire?

The BBC is reporting that Enzo Calzaghe is set to walk away from boxing following the loss of Gavin Rees and Bradley Pryce from his stable of fighters. Rees and Pryce elected to join Calzaghe Promotions in the wake of Joe Calzaghe's split with promoter Frank Warren but the promotional company has now closed its books, leaving the two fighters with little choice but to move onto pastures new. He's a cool bloke!

I'd rather have a Joe Calzaghe come back though. Just for 1 match against Carl Froch or the super six winner.

What a fool Rees and Pryce were to leave the greatest promoter in the world to go and join up with a new company with zero experience, silly little boys following their fwend! LOL!

Any way, this is how it is. Enzo hasnt dont much, Calzaghe has never been in with anyone, its that simple, Pryce is crap as is Locket. WBU, WHO CARES? Rees is also turd!

      So come on who cares?

Personally I think its about time, Ive never liked him or his fraud son, consign them both to history with their padded records and let the sport move on.

I wish him well. He has devoted a hell of a lot of his time to many fighters in the gym at newbridge. The people taking cheap shots at him here have made a zero contribution to the sport.

                That probably answers your question.

Listen,it was a tough choice for me dah,but what else does he have to prove?

Not only did he produce the finest looking chap in the land, but also the finest fighter of this generation and definately up there on bert sugar's top ten p4p list.

At the end of the day,me dah made alot of money,he got his recognition as the best trainer of this era, what more else is there to do?

Me dah is a good man,and great teacher.

We will miss him when's gone

No the people offering a negative opinion are just that, offering an opinion, you dont have to be a career politician to have an opinion about politics and for me like wise with sports.
