Why does Bob Arum (Top Rank) always deliver worthless undercards?

I just had a look on the undercard of the March 13th fight of Pacquiao-Clottey. That is one worthless undercard. GBP mostly has great undercards. Expect a great undercard for May 1st and May 15th.

How can Bob get away with these worthless undercards?

Why would he spend more than he has to? For the Pac-Clottey card particularly, Manny's presence will sell the PPV, and for the actual live fight crowd all he has to do is throw on a couple of cookie-cutter Mexican fighters.

I like the undercard; we're going to watch Alphonzo Gomez retire another legend and John Duddy act like he's Rocky. I'm looking forward to it (the undercards)..

Bob Arum wants to do little promotion for the biggest buck. He doesn't care about anyone or anything but Bob and Top Rank.

It's made worse by him promising great undercards and then failing to deliver miserably.

            Remember Pacquiao-Cotto's undercard? Exactly.

Yesterday he called Saturday's undercard "tremendous." Tremendous for him, I guess, since it's a cheaply-made undercard with a few names from the past....but not tremendous for the fans. I hope Castillo-Gomez delivers, though.

He only cares for the main event. He just put his fighters agains fringe opposition so they can look good. The main event is what sells the fight. As bad as Don King was his undercards were very good

Soto/Diaz is a good fight and Castillo/Gomez might at least be entertaining, so the undercard could be a lot worse.

Are you one of those who went to watch fights because of the undercard or the main event?.

The main event is suppose to sell the undercard not the other way around. And also to introduce newer or lesser known fighters.

Don King > Bob Arum. They're both scums, but at least Don King is more persuasive.
