Sort of what Pacman is doing in the US. They go where the $$ are. They show loyalty by fighting - and winning those places and their fanbase grow in that country. Simple math. Still, If Both Pac or Wlad were to fight in their native countries the number of seats filled would boom dramatically.
People are quick to talk down on these accomplishments and that's really pure ignorence built off ''I don't like his style, he's boring, don't sell tickets, nobody must be able to like him cause I sure as hell don't'' when the facts and reality are a completely different story. They do actually fill seats, they ARE a big draw and people do enjoy watching Wlad dominate an increased stronger HW division.
Too bad no one will pay to watch him on PPV though.
Not in the US no. Over here it's another story. That's like saying Holyfield wasn't a big draw because he didn't sell PPV's in europe We usually get each others fight for free.
You don't need to say it explicitly, that's what your post says in a nutshell "unless he does it in America it doesn't matter". America is not the center of HW boxing anymore, get used to it.

Yup, PPV is an american thing. Unfortunately many americans think the world revolves around them.

The hate is amazing man People say so many lies around here it's amazing. If they were sticking with ''I don't like his style personly, but recognize he's a dominant HW champ, and won't talk **** about him filling seats in europe because that's something I know nothing about'' Cool. But it's always with the ****ing hate and the nickname bull**** ''robot'' ''eurobum'' etc.
Had a similar discussion not long ago when a poster incouraged Clottey to headbutt his way to a victory over Pacman and defended dirty fighting from the likes of Hopkins and Ward. But hated Froch with a vengeance for doing the very same thing. Of course Froch is both white and a ''eurobum'' I'm starting to see these two things playing a big part in this section. Doublestandards man................
Why would he even consider the US? The US is nothing when we talk HW boxing these years. Strong up and comers are mostly Eastern fighters and HW boxing us HUGE in germany.
very true
all of our HW are just hype
but you guys are making it sound like huge accomplishment
he is fighting where his fan base is
its not a big deal to sell out
It would be huge for him and for the sport if he were to fight here in the states where his fan base isnt a loyal
just like it would be huge for Mosley or Pac to sell out across the pond

Okey Chuck, lets turn it around for the fun of it. Does that mean Mayweather should fight in Britain where people isn't too fond of him and the money isn't too good just to prove that he can get'em loyal for the hell of it? :

I'm afraid you missed the point of the thread then, this is not to glorify Wlad, this thread is a call out to all the ******ed Haye nuthuggers that said it was thanks to Haye that Chagaev-Wlad was sold out. Now that Wlad has sold out a 50k arena, against a less known opponent than Chagaev in Germany, this has proven to be false.
