I'm confused because I think round 3 was clearly Fernando's round. He was more active, threw some nice combinations and landed several shots. He had a very nice early uppercut that landed flush enough Winky had to do the head shake 'no, you didn't hurt me'.

Even if I gave the 2nd to Wright, which I could see, I'd still say the 1st and 3rd were Vargas rounds.

Round 1 was clearly a Vargas round. Round 3 was a swing round, could had gone either way

Round 2 could of gone either way too though and round 11 was not as clear as you made it out to be.
        2 and 11?

        Winky CLEARLY won those rounds.

It is what it is. Your opinion is your opinion, I respect that. IMO though, Winky was landing the more telling shots and Vargas was missing a lot throughout.

From a Compubox perspective, and I'll post the link to this at the bottom, Wright faded down the stretch while Vargas kept his activity up.

            Round 10: Winky threw 57 punches/ Vargas threw 99.

            Round 11: Winky threw 54/ Vargas 66

Round 12: Winky threw JUST 25/ Vargas 85.

            It's on page 6 : http://www.compuboxonline.com/btot/Williams-Wright.pdf

I guess this thread has helped both sides see there were many close rounds?

Vargas wasnt landing much in this fight. His punches were blocked alot.

I saw you say that in several round break downs that I watched where you clearly didn't give Vargas credit for landed punches, though.

First of all Compubox is crap. Second landed/thrown punches are only one of the criteria to score a round.

3rd please you cant use compubox to score a fight

8-4 is what you had right. Thats a fair score. Winky deserved this win.

Compubox is a valuable tool. You can't use it to SCORE a fight, but it can be a great indicator of trends during a fight.

For instance, that 12th round....if Winky was out thrown 25 to 85, I guarantee you the judges would give that round to Vargas due to activity.
