Pacquiao: "I would want to go toe-to-toe with Clottey"

From today's ESPN chat with Pacquiao...

"I would want to go toe-to-toe because that's where my power will come out and the angles of my punches will hurt him. It's my dream for us to go toe-to-toe. I also think the fans out there would want to see it too."

Yeah unless he wants a nice headbut to the eyebrow he wont do that.

Have they even watched tape on Clottey?

He is much, much faster then Clottey and has way better/faster movement and faster combinations, he will pick Clottey apart.

Like I said before, I had to say it but this is a mismatch..

It's dangerous, but after a few rounds, Pacquiao will more than likely be punching from all angles right in front of Clottey.

Of course he does. That is the only way he can win. He cannot beat a good boxer who doesn't stand directly in front of him.

clottey won't go toe to toe, he'll block then try to counter after punch

Why go toe to toe with a guy who struggles with movement??

I honestly think they have no idea what they are doing against Clottey. Does Pac want to get butted to death? Did they even watch film and study him?

I don't see how this is something new. Basically Pacquiao pretty much can only go toe2toe. He doesn't box, so he only slugs it out. This is supposed to be a new gameplan?

Clottey isn't aggressive enough to swing while the opponent is swinging. He will clam up in that shell of his and wait for the onslaught to stop and then will one-shot, rinse and repeat.

Pacquiao will win by UD, because he will be the only one doing anything. Going rounds on a punching bag.

If Pac doesn't use his footspeed and movements it won't create a lot of different angles. Plus Clottey has faster hands than Cotto. If Pac wants to lose trading and standing in front of Clottey is a good idea.

What makes Pacquiao so special is the in and out movements, Pac without it would be like P-Will without the infinite workrate.
